Plans to extend a Doncaster primary school have been drawn up.

The proposals, which have been submitted to Doncaster Council’s planning department, would see an extension built to the rear of the building at Armthorpe’s Southfield Primary School, on Tranmoor Lane.

Three new classrooms and a hall would be built on the site.

As well as these, the scheme submitted to the local authority for consideration would also allow the school to carry out alterations to its car park, meaning more spaces for both cars and bicycles.

The plans also include the creation of new pedestrian and vehicular access.

The scheme has been sent in by Jefferson Sheard Architects, based in Peterborough.

A decision on whether to grant planning permission for the scheme is expected by the middle of February.
