SHEFFIELD design student Sophie Hull saw off competition from rivals across the country to win second place in a national competition.
Sophie, on a course at Leeds College of Art, was invited to imagine what she thought the independent living retirement development of the future would look like, in the Future Ageing challege set by property management company Peverel Retirement.
Students were asked to consider space, security, sustainability and social living in their entries, which will go on show at a special exhibition.
Sophie said: “I was so surprised but absolutely thrilled to hear I had won second place. The future of retirement living is an important subject and I thought it would be a great opportunity to draw up a proposal. I had fun doing it.”
