YOUNG dance hopefuls showed off their best moves when a competition to find the next big street dance crew visited Sheffield.

Youngsters were put through their paces at Meadowhall by choreographer Sisco Gomez, who has worked with some of pop’s biggest names including Madonna, Kylie Minogue and Pink.

The contest, called Street Dance: The Search, is offering winners the chance to form a new street dance group with a £10,000 contract.

Industry professionals will manage the group and give them dance masterclasses, while the crew will also star in their own video shoot.

Crowds at the shopping centre were also treated to a performance by Plague, who have won numerous UK dance events, while competition sponsors gave auditionees free makeovers.

The final will take place in April at the Koko club in London. Log on to www.facebook.com/streetdancethesearch for more information.
