A SOUTH Yorkshire college is helping to boost the NHS in the region by inviting the National Blood Service onto its premises.
The National Blood Service Bloodmobile will be at Dearne Valley College’s Manvers Campus next Tuesday, May 24, between 9.30am to 12.30pm and 1.30pm to 4pm for people to donate blood.
Steve Hepworth, the college’s sports centre manager, said: “It is vitally important people come along to Dearne Valley College to donate blood to help the National Blood Service save lives.
“The service is dependent on maintaining its required level of donors so it can run as usual. We are urging as many people as possible to do their bit and book an appointment today.”
The Blood Service welcomes all donors both new and existing that want to participate and take part in the session.
To register and book an appointment visit www.blood.co.uk or call 0300 123 2323. The Bloodmobile will be returning to the Wath-based college on Thursday, September 22.
