The future looks bright for a South Yorkshire college after 300 youngsters took part in have-a-go taster sessions.
The sessions at Dearne Valley College, Wath upon Dearne, involved a week of hands-on, interactive, free activities to help young people build skills for later life.
Sessions included hairdressing, beauty therapy, sport and physical recreation, engineering, construction skills and catering.
Mark Hepworth, college assistant admissions manager, said: “Deciding what to do next and where to continue further study can be difficult.
“Our taster sessions allowed prospective students to learn new skills, but also provided an insight into what college life would be like.”
