Centre hosts one last visit

PUPILS from Sheffield’s Greenhill Primary were the last to visit South Yorkshire Police’s Lifewise centre at the Magna Centre – with a bigger and better base set to open in the autumn.

Lifewise is an educational centre with a film set as its focus. The set has been used on a daily basis to deliver safety messages to a variety of people through interactive scenarios.

It has been used by around 15,000 South Yorkshire schoolchildren every year in partnership with the South Yorkshire Fire and Rescue Service.

Work has already begun on a new centre in Hellaby, which will include new sets such as an A&E department, a police station and a court.
