YOUNGSTERS at Rossington’s Pheasant Bank Junior School have won £1,000 worth of computer programmes.

The school, on West End Lane, won software for use in classrooms by teachers and pupils to do three dimensional animation on screens.

It is one of five to win a one year licence for the package.

The Moviestorm software offers teachers and pupils the chance to quickly and easily create video animations as part of the learning process.

School literacy coordinator Jennifer McMahon said: “The teachers have been trained to edit podcasts and film videos so the software fits in nicely with the work we’ve already been doing.

“The software will encourage children to get more involved in lessons and provide a more enriched environment.”
