YOUNG people in Sheffield are being given the opportunity to brush up on interview skills to ensure they are in the best position to take up apprenticeships.
A session is being run by CITB-ConstructionSkills, Sheffield City College and employers.
It has been designed to provide experience of the interview and selection processes for apprenticeships, work experience and other construction courses.
The session will also give youngsters the chance to ask qualified careers advisers questions.
Pam Lee, a CITB-ConstructionSkills careers adviser, said: “The event will be the perfect opportunity for young people to gain insight into the things they need to be doing to secure an apprenticeship or training place.
“We would especially urge anyone who is leaving school within the next year to get signed up.”
The event will be at Sheffield City College, Granville Road, this Thursday.
Young people have been invited to the event 10am to noon with employers invited to drop in noon-2pm.
