celebrations will be held in Sheffield to mark the national launch of a church course which began in South Yorkshire.
A service led by Dr Steven Croft, Bishop of Sheffield, will take place at St Margaret’s Church, Brightside, on Sunday, at 4pm, to mark the news.
The Worship 4 Today course has been used in Sheffield Diocese since 2007, where it runs for one academic year alongside other lay training.
Over the past two years, the course has been revised and published as a national resource and is now being run in various other dioceses in this country and farther afield.
The course will be running in South Yorkshire for the sixth time next autumn.
