STUDENTS from The University of Sheffield look set for a bright future in business.
Banking giant Lloyds gave prestigious accolades to three young people studying in the city for their work in its scholarship programme.
Zoe Faulkner, aged 19, a Business Management student, was named the winner of the Chief Executive Challenge at an end-of-course ceremony, while fellow Sheffield students Alex O’Neill and Hannah Townsend were commended.
Zoe said: “For the Chief Executive Challenge, while I was doing my internship, I wrote a report on how Lloyds Bank could attract and hold on to students better.
“I’m delighted to have won.
“The programme has been really good and I’ve had the opportunity to make an impact.”
A total of 30 students from The University of Sheffield were part of the first scheme, which helps with living costs and study materials, provides two paid summer internships, a mentor, lectures and workshops with Lloyds.
