SHEFFIELD pupils are showing off their creative talents – on the front of their school.

Art students from King Edward VII School in Broomhill are celebrating the completion of the first phase of the school’s development by assisting VINCI Construction with designing two colourful banners to decorate the Glossop Road campus façade.

The work is a mixture of new build and refurbishment of the impressive Grade 2 listed building that is being carried out in three phases.

A new sports hall and science centre are also being constructed as part of the Building Schools for the Future programme.

Headteacher Bev Jackson said: “VINCI were keen to involve our students in the design of the banners to commemorate the work on the school.

“The students were really enthusiastic about this project and came up with some excellent designs for the banners that will brighten up the outside of our school.”
