Communities in Sheffield can discover new and creative learning opportunities through the University of Sheffield’s Institute for Lifelong Learning thanks to a new innovative programme.

The Discover Programme from TILL, Museums Sheffield and Sheffield Association for Voluntary Teaching of English has secured a grant from the Skills Funding Agency.

The 10-week course aims to inspire residents within two targeted communities to get involved in learning around the themes of community, culture, environment and education.

Widening Participation Officer Louise Ritchie, said: “This course will offer residents the opportunity to enhance confidence by trying new learning activities on their doorstep.
