A man who took years out of education because of chronic fatigue syndrome, returned to the classroom at Sheffield College and has now graduated from Sheffield Hallam University with a first class degree.

Michael Wilson, aged 40, from Wales Bar, Rotherham, is one of 400 adult learners who complete an access to higher education course at Sheffield College every year.

He went on to study a forensic engineering degree and is now a laboratory technical manager for IIDEA Forensic Engineering.
