AN anniversary party at a restaurant raised almost £2,000 for stroke research.

Viva Tequila in Gleadless celebrated 13 years in business by raising cash at a packed evening that benefited The Stroke Association for Stroke Therapy.

Since opening in 1998, Viva Tequila has raised more than £60,000 for good causes including Bluebell Wood Hospice, Cardiac Risk in the Young, Sheffield Children’s Hospital and Cavendish Cancer Care.

“It really was a great night,” said owner Steve Zsirai.
