Police hunting a hammer-wielding robber who threatened a pensioner in her own home have issued an E-fit.
Detectives from South Yorkshire Police are continuing their investigation into the attempted robbery of the 79-year-old woman in Sprotbrough, Doncaster and have issued a further appeal for witnesses.
At around 2.20pm on February 16, police were called to reports of an attempted robbery at a property in Sprotbrough Road.
It is believed that the resident heard a knock at the door and as she went to open it, she was knocked to the floor by an unknown man.
The man is alleged to have threatened the woman with a hammer, before demanding money and jewellery.
He left the property empty handed, heading in the direction of Tennyson Avenue, Sprotbrough.
The woman was not injured during the incident.
Officers have issued an e-fit of a man they would like to trace in connection with the incident. They would also like to hear from anyone who many have seen a man behaving suspiciously in the area at that time.
