MEET Dylan – a lovely lad who would just love to find a place in your heart, and hopefully in your home.
The four-year-old Scooby Doo lookalike is a handsome black and tan dog looking for some TLC after an unsettled start to life.
RSPCA Sheffield animal care manager Tony Benham said: “Ideally, we are looking for a quiet home for him, with no children, with people who will understand Dylan’s needs.
“He is a very loyal and loving character but he is easily scared and worried.
“He has a tendency to bark in his kennel which, on first viewing, can be offputting and we think this is the main reason Dylan isn’t being taken seriously as a potential pet.
“It is such a shame because he takes instruction well. He is perfectly relaxed around people he trusts.”
Centre manager Stella White reminded would-be owners that last adoptions from the centre this year were carried out on Sunday. Adoptions resume from January 5. Dogs can still be reserved but the centre will be closed on Christmas Day and Boxing Day.
