When cats visit the vets it is usually only for a brief stay – but this poor chap has been there for weeks and is desperate to find a loving home.

Dusty is a male, neutered, short-haired cat who was brought into Vets4Pets ‘Frecheville practice by a member of the public who found him suffering from a large wound to his face.

The cats protection charity funded surgery to have him neutered and the vets clipped and cleaned his wound and gave him medication.

Sally Briggs, of Pets4Vets, said: “Dusty is desperate to find a forever home where he can come and go as he pleases. In return, I am sure he will give you lots of cuddles.

“He’s a lovely friendly boy who comes and sits on your knee as soon as he can.

“However, being a stray he does have a temperamental side so would be better suited in a home with older children. It is not known how he would react to other cats and dogs although he is very confident, so I don’t think this would be a problem.

“He would also be better suited in a home where he can go outside safely with no main roads.”
