Twenty-seven motorists were reminded to buckle up in Killamarsh after they were caught not wearing seatbelts during a road safety operation.

The checks were carried out as part of county-wide Operation Safedrive. A mix of fixed penalty notices and warnings were given to the 27 people not wearing seatbelts, 13 drivers using their mobile phones, 14 who had defective tyres and one person who was found not to have the right driving licence.
