Drivers cut free from car wrecks

A DRIVER was freed from his vehicle when it left the road and landed on its roof on Carr Head Road, Howbrook, in north Sheffield yesterday afternoon.

The man was freed by fire crews from Tankersley and Barnsley stations, treated by paramedics, and taken to hopsital.

Two drivers were rescued when their cars were in collision on Mansfield Road, Killamarsh, on Saturday morning. Fire crews from Mosborough and Clowne freed the victims using cutting equipment. The drivers were taken to Chesterfield Royal Hospital for treatment.
