Driver racially abused by yobs on motorbike

A woman driver was racially abused by two yobs of a motorbike '“ who sowed her a gun and then smashed her windscreen.

The two men riding a red and black motorcycle pulled alongside a black BMW on Warren Vale, at Swinton roundabout.

The men then made abusive and racist comments towards the woman driving the BMW, before one of them showed her what appeared to be a small firearm.

The rear window of the BMW was then smashed by the two men before the motorcycle made off from the scene.

Police said they are treating the attack as a hate crime.

The woman was not injured during the incident but has been left shaken.

Officers are appealing for information following the incident in Swinton at 2pm on Friday.

Police are making CCTV enquiries in the local community and are keen to hear from anyone who was in the area at the time.
