A MOTORIST involved in a collision at the weekend has died in hospital.

Frederick Bower, aged 75, of Worksop, was driving a gold Ford Mondeo along the B6045, between Worksop and Blyth, when he was involved in a collision with a black Peugeot RCZ Coupe, at around 8.25pm on Saturday.

Mr Bower was taken to Bassetlaw District General Hospital in Worksop, where he died on Wednesday.

A 37-year-old woman, who was a passenger in his car, was taken to the same hospital, where her condition is described as stable.

Two women and a man travelling in the Peugeot were taken to Doncaster Royal Infirmary with serious but non-life threatening injuries. The women remain in hospital.
