People in Rotherham are being urged to look at their drinking habits and also find out if they are at risk of developing an alcohol-related illness in the future with a new scratch card.

The free Rethink Your Drink scratch card games are being distributed to GP surgeries, colleges, pharmacies and other public places across Rotherham by substance misuse services.

Service manager Stuart Green has introduced the scheme across Rotherham Doncaster and South Humber NHS Foundation Trust.

He said: “In addition to being a fun way to see just what their alcohol habits may mean for their health, drinkers will also have an easy-to-keep reminder of the alcoholic units in popular drinks, as well as a phone number and website address they can visit to get more information and advice and contact details for where to get help if they are concerned about their drinking.”
