Dramatic pictures of an arson attack which forced residents to be evacuated from a block of flats in Sheffield have been released.
Emergency services raced to the block of flats on Callow Drive in Gleadless Valley at around 1pm yesterday after residents discovered a fire on the twelfth floor landing.
Residents inside a flat alerted neighbours after smelling smoke before realising that rubbish had been set alight on a communal landing.
Several ambulances and five fire engines were part of fifteen emergency service vehicles called to the scene.
Police and firefighters evacuated several floors of residents before firefighters spent two hours dealing with the incident.
The fire service confirmed that no injuries were reported during the fire.
