Dragon runners raise £600

SOME do it in serious running gear, others opt for fancy dress.

But teachers and pupils from The Sheffield and District Chinese School took the fun run theme a stage further when they stepped out in full dragon dance regalia.

They took part in the Great Fun Run, which ran on the same day as the Sheffield Half Marathon in May, and raised 600 for Macmillan Cancer Support.

Head of the school, Paul Cheung, said: "We are delighted to have raised this money for our local charity.

"I would like to say a big thank you to everyone involved and who contributed towards the fund. Hopefully we can do this again next year."

The Chinese school is based at King Edward VII School, Glossop Road, Sheffield.
