Doncaster Rovers fans are being urged to keep donating items to a Doncaster foodbank.

The club has been acting as a collection point to help with donations of foodstuffs to the Doncaster Foodbank, which operates from Christchurch, Thorne Road, Doncaster.

Rovers’ supporters have been donating selected tinned foodstuffs for the Rovers to then pass on to the Foodbank.

And the club has announced that two prestigious local-based companies - Rejus Facilities Management and Keepmoat PLC - both located near to the Keepmoat Stadium, are collecting donations from their own clients and employees, and adding these to the collection point at the Keepmoat Stadium.

The foodbank organisers are particularly asking for tinned fruit, tinned fish and tinned meat as priority donations from all supporters of the scheme.

A club spokesman said: “Thank you to everyone who has been donating over the past few weeks.”

The collection point at Keepmoat Stadium will continue to operate for the foreseeable future.
