A woman has appeared in court in Sheffield charged with murdering a man who disappeared in 2010.

June Buttle, aged 55, from Concorde Mews, Nether Hall Road, Doncaster, is charged with the murder of Thomas Groome, from Thorne.

Mr Groome was last seen on New Year’s Day morning in 2010 as he left his son’s Thorne home.

He was reported missing and police launched a murder probe in 2012.

Buttle was remanded in custody and the case was adjourned until January 2015 for a further hearing.
