A team of health visitors in Doncaster have been encouraging local families to stay safe in the sun this summer at an event held at the town’s Central Children’s Centre to mark national Child Safety Week.

They gave parents sun cream, sun hats and activity sheets donated by the Frenchgate Centre branch of Boots, as well as advice.

Family support worker Jeanette Lindley, part of the health visiting team, said: “All children like to spend a lot of time outdoors when the sun is shining, so it’s important we support parents to do this safely.”
