Doncaster double yellow lines moved

Have your say

council workmen have transferred double yellow lines from one side of Tickhill Road in Bawtry, near Doncaster, and are repainting them on the southern side.

The change was brought about to give added protection to pedestrians who were in danger of being struck by passing traffic as they walked along the footpath that runs alongside the road outside the old church and disused business premises.

Highways officers and South Yorkshire Police said parking on the road that links Bawtry with Tickhill, which has the effect of narrowing the highway to single lane, acts as a positive traffic calming measure.
