A DONCASTER church celebrates its 60th anniversary tomorrow evening with an address by the Bishop of Doncaster, Peter Burrows.
The service at St Paul’s, Wheatley Park, will be informal and have an element of celebration reflecting on the past 60 years as well as looking to the future.
There will be readings, prayers and songs reflecting the occasion and Park Primary School pupils are also singing.
St Paul’s is currently being renovated with new windows, roof and entrance.
The vicar, Rev Richard Radley, said they looking forward to Bishop Peter’s visit and ‘inviting the community into a new look building in the new year’.
Bishop Burrows said: “The blessing marks a new chapter in the life of the church as it reaches out and works alongside others for the welfare and benefit of all those who live and work in the area.”
