A Doncaster charity is appealing to people across the borough to volunteer to offer their services.
Based in Thorne Road, Intake, Cruse Bereavement Care offers support to bereaved people in Doncaster through one-to-one support.
Doncaster central MP, Rosie Winterton, has backed the charity in their fresh appeal for volunteers.
Miss Winterton visited Cruse as part of their volunteer drive.
She said: “Cruse helps people as they come to terms with the death of a loved one.
“However volunteers are needed in Doncaster to help take phone calls from clients –anyone who is able to help will be given full training.
“I am always impressed by the volunteers I meet at Cruse.
“They can make a huge difference to people who are experiencing a very difficult time.”
The charity offers a range of services for people coping with bereavement including telephone support, email support and face-to-face support.
