ORGANISERS of an athletics contest being held in South Yorkshire for disabled people have been handed a £300 cheque by wheelchair tennis player Mich Oglesby.

Mich presented the funding on behalf of Drone Valley Rotary Club, in Dronfield, of which she is president-elect.

The money will be used to help cover the costs of the Barnsley District Disability Games, which are being held in April, organised by Barnsley Rockley Rotary Club.

Mich, who lost use of her legs in a riding accident, will be competing in the British National Wheelchair Tennis Championships in May.
