A SHEFFIELD man has been shortlisted in the final of a competition which is really cheesy.
Don Edwards from Bradwell has reached the final of the British Cheese Board’s nationwide hunt to find a national anthem for Britain’s best loved cheese, Cheddar.
He will compete against an accordion-wielding Morris dancer, a rousing pub singer and an upbeat techno rendition of ‘God Save our Cheese’.
It’s then down to the public to choose which of them will be named the official British Cheese Board Cheddar Anthem. Log on to www.britishcheese.com to cast your vote.
Nigel White, secretary of the British Cheese Board, and one of the judges, said: “This competition has proven beyond doubt that Cheddar is by far and away the nation’s favourite.”
