Do something about the heating on First buses

“Of all the bus companies in all the cities, in all the world, First has to take control of ours.”

It seems First bus company is totally unaware of the present heatwave, on most of their singledecker fleet the heating is on full despite the temperature soaring into the middle 20s. Why?

Is it too hard for the management and the people who are in charge of the maintenance of their fleet to give instructions to shut the heating off until at least October?

In fact they should be shut off from May to October.

It’s not pleasant travelling in a bus with inadequate windows to give us a better flow of cool air.

It seems to me the management just don’t care about the people (not customers) that have no option to travel in these hot boxes, or the drivers for that matter. It’s nothing to do with the drivers, so don’t carp at him or her. I’ve phoned several times about this problem and nobody has taken a blind bit of notice.

So I urge the people who call the shots, get this unbearable problem sorted out, not just for this year but for every year, as this problem has been going on for at least 12 years. Is it too hard to understand what it’s like? Just take a ride on one of your singledeckers with your lower leg up near the heating vent. If someone’s sitting beside you it’s hard to move out of the way of the vent.

Just get something done about it please.
