A week of colourful events will celebrate the range of talent and diversity at Sheffield Hallam University.
Classic Indian dancing, close-up magic illusions and ukulele and hip hop performances are just some of the 35 events planned during SHU Fest, which runs from Monday until Sunday, March 9.
Highlights will also include a Brazilian carnival ahead of the summer’s football World Cup in the South American country, and a masterclass teaching people Chinese in just 60 minutes on the Thursday.
Cooking demonstrations, film screening and flamenco dancing are also lined up.
And a trip to another city will be organised based on a public vote.
Prizes are on offer for students and staff who use the best ‘selfie’ photograph on Twitter with the hashtag #SHUfest.
The university has produced a video to promote the annual showcase and is encouraging the Sheffield public to attend events, as well as students and staff.
