Disruptive train passengers cause rail delays in Doncaster

Rail passengers travelling from Doncaster last night experienced delays, after two female passengers became disruptive at one of the borough’s train stations. 
British Transport Police were called out to Kirk Sandall train station at around 7.30pm last night, after receiving reports of two passengers becoming disruptive

A British Transport Police spokesman said: “Our officers were called to Kirk Sandall railway station, near Doncaster, at around 7.30pm on Sunday, 14 June, following reports of two disruptive female passengers on board the 18.33 Northern Rail service from Hull to Sheffield.

“The conductor had reported that two females had boarded the service without a ticket and when challenged had become abusive.

“Enquiries are ongoing.”

A total of three train services travelling towards Doncaster were delayed as a result of the incident.
