Dispute over eBay ad
NICOLA Pickford answered an advert on eBay and paid money for advice on how to get paid work at home.
But when it came, the information, amid pages of bumpf, boiled down to this: make money by posting adverts on eBay offering home work.
Incensed, she complained to Action Desk. Nicola, aged 21, of Derbyshire Lane, Norton Lees, said: "The user had 199 classified ads on eBay, if just one person answers each one a day that's nearly 200.
"And you can't leave a feedback rating on a classified advert so no one else can see if someone is dodgy."
ACTION
A SPOKESWOMAN for eBay told Action Desk they had removed the listings from their website.
She added: "While we do allow sellers to post job offers in the classified ads section of the site, we do not allow the sale of any item that is delivered digitally, including those by email.
"We have taken immediate action to remove these listings from the site and will take further action against the seller if he attempts to sell such an item again."
