Disaster inquiry needs all the help possible

Have your say

I have just read the comments by Ann Pimlett and Frankie Howard on your website after the appeal for witnesses to the Hillsborough Disaster by the IPCC.

These comments raise a very important point for the people of Sheffield.

The appeal by the IPCC is focused onpeople who have already made statements.

There are many people in the Sheffield area who have never been interviewed but who have stories to tell about what happened in and around Leppings Lane immediately before the disaster.

These accounts would be of vital importance to the other part of this massive investigation which is being led by Jon Stoddart, looking into the events before the disaster.

The people of Sheffield and The Star have a duty to ensure that those conducting this inquiry get all the help possible to establish what happened.
