Disabled cycle riding sessions

Have your say

DISABLED people inspired by the Paralympics to cycle through the Peak District’s beautiful countryside are invited to a free taster day.

The event runs from 10am to 3pm on Tuesday, October 9, at Peak Cycle Hire’s Parsley Hay centre on the High Peak Trail near Hartington, when visitors will be able to see a range of adapted cycles and try them out on a safe, traffic-free trail with the support of trained staff.

Run by the Peak District National Park Authority, Parsley Hay cycle hire centre is part of a Wheels For All network of more than 50 UK centres with bikes for the disabled or less mobile.

■ To book a slot for a free session, email parsleyhay.cyclehire@peakdistrict.gov.uk or, alternatively, call the Parsley Hay cycle hire centre on 01298 84493.
