Disabled boy’s chair stolen

A SPECIALIST armchair worth £2,500 has been stolen from outside a house in Sheffield - where it was delivered for a disabled boy.

There was nobody at home when the chair was delivered, so it was left at the back of the house in Wilfred Drive, Darnall and a note was pushed through the door telling the boy’s parents where it was.

The blue Jupiter chair had been bought to improve the child’s ‘comfort and quality of home life’.

A police spokeswoman said: “The chair is a very distinctive large armchair with an adjustable back and arms and valued at £2,500.

“The theft has obviously caused significant distress and upset to the child, who was waiting to receive it.”

The theft happened between 12.30pm and 2.30pm on Tuesday, October 18. Call 101.
