Dinner raises towering total for South Yorkshire charity

A GLITTERING evening at Britain’s most famous treasure house raised more than £14,000 for South Yorkshire dementia charity Lost Chord.

The Crowns and Choristers event at the Tower of London saw guests given a private tour of the Crown Jewels before enjoying a four-course dinner in the White Tower, .

The evening, which raised a final total of £14,500, was supported by Lost Chord patron Dame Vera Lynn.

“This wonderful event gave us the chance to explain to an even wider audience the importance of Lost Chord concerts in providing vital musical stimulation for people living with dementia in care homes and day centres,” said Lost Chord Chief Executive Helena Muller.
