THERE’S just over two months to go!
Experts from the South Yorkshire Centre for Inclusive Living launched a campaign to make sure Doncaster’s disabled community are not left without TV reception when the digital switchover takes place.
The centre ran an advice day on the changeover, as well as on personal health budgets.
The Kirk Sandall based organisation opened up its doors for anyone, disabled or otherside, who wanted support understanding the switchover.
The Emley Moor transmitter, which covers most of the Doncaster area, will be switching to digital in two stages on September 7 and 21.
Maddie O’Sullivan, Chief Executive at SYCIL, said many people are still confused about the switchover and her group aimed to give simplified explanations of what they need to do, to help them to be confident when making their own arrangements.
