A CHARITY employee who works hard to ensure old folk are not left feeling lonely and isolated will go the extra mile for the service - when she jumps out of a plane from 12,000 feet.

Di Hollingsworth, head of care and support services at Age UK, Rotherham, is hoping the funds she raises will help keep its Befriending Service going.

Di, whose skydive is part of the Rotherham Less Lonely Campaign, said: “Age UK Rotherham’s wonderful befriending service, with its stalwart volunteers is a lifeline.”

She has nicknamed the event Di’s Dive and the jump will take place on June 16 at 8am near Cirencester in Gloucestershire.
