Device detects heart problems
NEW equipment for diagnosing and treating serious heart conditions has been purchased by Barnsley Hospital.
The multi-functional device will be used to diagnose angina and coronary heart disease, assist with the injection of permanent pacemakers, and examine patients with coronary illnesses who have previously undergone operations.
Each year Barnsley Hospital inserts 110 pacemakers and treats more than 400 patients with coronary heart disease.
