POLICE officers are set to give evidence by video link in court cases as part of moves to expand the technology.
Derbyshire and Nottinghamshire forces are among 13 taking part in a trial announced by Damian Green, justice and policing minister.
Video link technology is already used for prisoners at courts including Sheffield Crown Court, to cut the cost of transporting suspects on remand to short, preliminary hearings.
