An event for those interested in becoming foster carers will be held at Derbyshire County Council’s County Hall later this month.
The drop-in session, between 5pm and 7pm on November 30, is open to anyone interested in finding out more about the process of fostering children who, for whatever reason, cannot live with their families.
Coun Jim Coyle, cabinet member for children and young people, said: “Children do best when they’re cared for in a loving home. Could you make the difference to a child’s life by giving them the care they deserve?”
Anyone over the age of 21 can foster, regardless of their sexual orientation or marital status. If you would like to know more but can’t get to the event, visit www.derbyshire.gov.uk/fostering or call 01629 533071.
