Delays ahead for motorists

ROADWORKS are affecting more than a dozen routes around Sheffield this weekend, with lane closures, temporary traffic lights and some roads shut.

Upper Albert Road in Meersbrook is closed for sewer works until Friday, while Robin Lane, Beighton, has temporary traffic signals today and tomorrow.

Tomorrow, Barnsley Road will be one-way from Owler Lane to Skinnerthorpe Road, and Brightside Lane has a lane closed from Weedon Street to Jenkin Road, Brightside.

The same day, Church Street and Mill Road, both in Ecclesfield, and Oakbrook Road, Endcliffe, are all closed; Fife Street, Wincobank, Prince of Wales Road, Manor, and Walkley Lane, Walkley, have lane closures; and Mansfield Road, Intake, and Spital Hill, Burngreave, have stop-and-go boards. Also on Sunday temporary lights will operate on Rustlings Road, Endcliffe; Shirecliffe Road, Shirecliffe and The Common, Ecclesfield.

Both carriageways of the A1(M) at junction 36 will be closed overnight on April 19 from 8pm to 6am. Diversions will operate.
