Def Leppard heading home to Sheffield
SHEFFIELD rock giants Def Leppard will be returning to their home city on a summer UK tour.
The massive-selling band hope to add another 12,000 crowd to the 50 million fans they have played to in the last 15 years when they clock into Sheffield Arena at Attercliffe on June 23 with fellow British rockers Whitesnake.
Joe Elliott's men remain one of the biggest live acts to come out of the UK and played 50 mostly sold out arenas across the US in 2007 alone on the 20th anniversary of their legendary Hysteria album.

This latest tour should coincide with a new studio album, adding to the 65 million they have already sold since breaking into the mainstream in the early 80s.
Def Leppard are still one of only five rock groups who can claim two separate original 10 million plus selling albums in the US, the others being The Beatles, Led Zeppelin, Pink Floyd and Van Halen.
With 2008 their 30th anniversary year, Whitesnake appear following the release of their first studio album in over 10 years, Good To Be Ba, out in April.
"I can't wait to get back on stage. After being in the studio for most of 2007 I am most definitely ready to let off some steam," said front man David Coverdale.
