Def Leppard at kick-off
SHEFFIELD rockers Def Leppard have been lined up to launch the opening season of the National Hockey League in America.
The multi-platinum-selling rock band will kick off the NHL 2008-09 season on October 9 with an arena spectacular of all their smash hits, plus songs from their latest album 'Songs From The Sparkle Lounge'.
The concert, at the Fox Theatre in Detroit, will include a special performance of their arena-inspired hit single 'C'mon, C'mon' - which frontman Joe Elliott claims he always knew would be a hockey arena hit.
Two stateside TV channels will provide live streaming coverage of the concert, letting fans watch around the world.
