JET black - and as handsome a hound and you’re likely to meet.
Four-year-old lurcher Jet is all dressed up in his black and white fur tuxedo.
And he’s ready to go somewhere special - hopefully a wonderful, new home.
RSPCA Animal Care Manager Tony Benham said: “Jet is a real gentleman, whose velvet-textured black and white fur gives him the appearance of wearing a tuxedo. His debonair looks match his gentle and loving nature.
“This lovely dog will have been with us for a year at Easter and he would make a wonderful companion for that special person.
“He was a cruelty case and was living outside without shelter in a yard full of inappropriate things including scrap metal and he came to us underweight.
“Despite this rough start to life, he has no known health problems and the only clue to his sad background is that he can be a little timid at times.
“He loves affection and certainly deserves a wonderful, new start in life.”
Tony says Jet has no problems with children, especially over the age of 10, but he must be in a home without cats - because he likes to chase them.
He added: “He gets on really well with other dogs so we foresee no problems there.
“He’s a healthy eater and enjoys his treats.
“When it comes to exercise, we’d advise about two lots of 30 minute walks a day.
“Jet looks like a star from a black and white Fred Astaire movie and it would be lovely if we could provide him with the happy ending like the old Hollywood movies.”
