Dancing way to charity

HUNDREDS of dancers from across the region helped raise cash for heart conditions.

The Smartdanceworks summer charity dance at Chesterfield’s Winding Wheel was a night of music, dancing, magic and cabarets.

It raised £2,249 for the British Heart Foundation’s Mending Broken Hearts Appeal.

Organiser Tracey Barnes, from Smartdanceworks, said: “I’m thrilled the event went so well and that passion for dancing could be used to raise vital funds for such a good cause.

“Many thanks go to the professional dancers who put on a fantastic showcase cabaret and also Tom Wright with his amazing close up magic, who all entertained the crowd.”

Businesses supported the event by donating raffle prizes.
